First Presbyterian Church of Greensburg is celebrating 100 years of worshipping our Lord and Savior in this remarkable building. Our founding families, who came together 229 years ago in a modest log building in St. Clair Park, would be proud to see that their dream lives on. We honor the many families who have invested their time, talents, and resources over the years to ensure that this wonderful congregation has a home worthy of its role in the community and the world.

Now we look to the future of our ministry, and to the key role that this building will play. There are a number of areas in our building that require updating and repair. Looking outside our walls, we also recognize the importance of Pine Springs Camp in nurturing our children in their journey of faith, and are providing support for updating the camp.

We are now embarking on a three-year capital campaign, Celebrating the Journey, to enhance our worship experience, support our outreach, and nurture the next generation of followers of Christ, who will continue His work in the community and the world.

How much are we looking to raise?
Our goal is $1,250,000

Will the church incur any debt for the named projects?
No. We will work with the funds generated by the campaign.

Will some of our funds be used for outreach?
Yes. In addition to upgrading our facilities which are used by outside organizations, we will support the upgrade of dining and recreation facilities at Pine Springs Camp, benefitting our youth.

How can I find out more about the details of the project?
Attend one of several upcoming Information Meetings, or ask any campaign Team Leader.

Will my commitment replace my regular weekly offering?
NO. Celebrating the Journey is a capital campaign aimed at accomplishing significant upgrades and refurbishments that fall outside the realm of normal maintenance and upkeep to our 100 year old structure and facilities.

How long do I have to fulfill my pledge?
Pledge cards will be turned in on May 21, 2017. Fulfillment of the pledge will occur over three years – 2017, 2018, and 2019. Donations can be one time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually.

What forms of contribution will be accepted?
Contributions may be made with cash, check, direct bank transfer, online giving via, or through transfer of stock, bonds, or property

We’re looking for guidance. What is an appropriate gift?
What is appropriate is between yourself and God; God will always give us guidance when we ask. (see Philippians 1:9-10; John 7:24 and Romans 12:2)

If I can’t give a large amount, will my pledge really matter?
All gifts matter. We will each give as we are able.

Will my pledge be kept private?
Yes. Only the church financial secretary will know.

Do I have to be a church member to contribute?
No. Our church is open to all, and touches many lives. All are welcome to respond to God’s generosity in our lives.
